About IFC Navigator

IFC Navigator is a free, privacy-first IFC viewer that runs entirely in your browser. It opens IFC2x3, IFC4 and IFC4x3 BIM models without uploading them anywhere — your files stay on your device.

Why we built it

Existing online IFC viewers either require an account, upload your file to a server, or limit you to small models. Architects and engineers regularly need to inspect a colleague's model on a laptop, tablet, or borrowed machine — and uploading proprietary project data to a third party is often not acceptable. We built IFC Navigator to fill that gap: open any IFC file, anywhere, without compromising privacy.

How it works

IFC parsing runs in WebAssembly via the open-source web-ifc engine. Geometry is rendered with Three.js. The whole application is a static site deployed on Cloudflare's global edge network — no backend, no database, no logs of your files because nothing leaves your machine.

Who is behind it

IFC Navigator is a product of Moso Engineering, an engineering practice working on AEC software, BIM workflows, and digital infrastructure. We use IFC Navigator internally for fast model audits and we are making it freely available to the wider AEC community.
